IT. RAVE è un metaprogetto e una residenza artistica nella campagna friulana in cui vivono animali salvati dal macello. Negli anni ha visto, tra gli altri, la partecipazione di artisti internazionali quali Regina José Galindo, Igor Grubić, Liliana Moro, Ivan Moudov, Adrian Paci, Diego Perrone, Tomás Saraceno e Giuseppe Stampone. Il progetto, ideato dalle artiste Isabella e Tiziana Pers, mira a reimmaginare il ruolo dell’arte contemporanea nei confronti dell’alterità animale. Il volume ripercorre la storia di RAVE, dalla sua fondazione a oggi, attraverso una conversazione di Daniele Capra e Nico Covre con le fondatrici, corredata da numerose immagini delle attività svolte, delle opere realizzate dagli artisti e dei ritratti degli animali salvati in oltre un decennio di attività.
EN. RAVE is a meta-project and an artistic residency in the Friulian countryside, in the northeast of Italy, where animals saved from the slaughter-house now live. Over the years it has seen the participation of many international artists, including Regina José Galindo, Igor Grubić, Liliana Moro, Ivan Moudov, Adrian Paci, Diego Perrone, Tomás Saraceno and Giuseppe Stampone. The project was conceived by artists Isabella and Tiziana Pers, and aims to reimagine the role of contemporary art in relation to animal otherness. This publication explores the history of RAVE, from its foundation to now, through a conversation between Daniele Capra, Nico Covre and the two founders. In addition, the book features a wealth of images of the activities undertaken, the works created by the artists and portraits of the animals saved in over a decade of the project.
